history and culture - VR tours

  • Students of Primary School in Purda, Poland started the activity with discovering the past of the Warmian village in an active way – they did the quest that led them from a building to a building, from a notice board to a notice board, from a monument to a monument or even to a nature history witness such as the Kośna river. The group of eager to know teenage explorers collected plenty of historical and cultural facts about their place of living. Not surprisingly, most of them had heard for the fist time about Tsar Nicolas post office, Polish school in 1930s and hard times in the interwar period. Their finding went back to 15th century through legends, Warmian believes and historical facts which had always been in sight but usually not too interesting to stop and read. The group work however, increased their motivation as well as taking spherical photos with a 360 camera. The effect of that unusual history lesson can be seen in a VR tour.
