We want to learn a lot about bees and what we can do to help them. Therefore, we are visiting several bee experts. We use those opportunities to ask the experts our questions. Not only the questions of the class that is meeting the expert, but also some questions of the partner classes. Interesting!
The first expert meeting will be on 11th October. Class 6E from Poland is going to attend a workshop on "Plants friendly to the bees", organised by experts from Lublin University.
Each beehive of Spain and Slovakia writes their question in the forum of the Twinspace. The polish beekeepers can choose 2 questions from the beehives of each country. They will ask the 4 questions and report the answers.
The second expert meeting will be with a beekeeper visiting our friends at school in Slovakia. This will be 29th October.
Each beehive of Spain sends a message to their teacher. The teacher publishes the 6 questions in the forum. The polish beekeepers also make 6 questions. The slovakian bees can chose 2 questions from each country. They will ask the 4 questions and report the answers.
The third expert meeting will be the visit of "the honey house" in Tijarafe, a village in the north of La Palma. In this house there are machines to get the honey out of the combs and into tars. Class 5/6 will travel on 7th November from El Paso to Tijarafe by bus.
Each beehive of Slovakia sends a message to their teacher. The teacher publishes the 6 questions in the forum. The polish beekeepers also make 6 questions. The spanish bees can chose 2 questions from each country. They will ask the 4 questions and report the answers.
