The country in charge of the organisation of this activity was Spain and therefore, the students of 4th ESO, in the academic year 20/21, met to decide how the board game was going to be.
From these meetings, the following indications were created and sent to the different countries: ( See: Instructions)
Each country had to work on different subjects such as geography and history, arts and crafts or music aspects of their heritage to create questions or challenges in the different categories.
They did not have to give the answer, only a link to a website where the answer to the question could be found.
Once this process was completed, the questions with the links to the answers were distributed among the 6 countries so that all participants had questions from all countries. The aim of this distribution was to complete the "answer" section of each question so that students had to investigate and learn about the main elements of their peers' heritage.
These answers were reviewed by the different countries.
Finally, we held a competition to select the design of our game board. It was an international competition and all members of our educational communities were able to participate.
The winning design was that of our Lithuanian colleagues (See winning design).
After this process, the Spanish students were in charge of creating the design of the game cards, making the cards in their handicraft classes and writing the instructions in their English classes.
The students participating in the mobility to Spain were able to enjoy and have a good time playing and learning with the game which they took back home too!
