From November 28th to December 4th, 2021, the second mobility for teachers and students took place in Kocani, Republic of North Macedonia. The students worked on the Legal Criteria and Opportunities for Participation in European Schools in order to get more knowledge about them, they had a workshop for eTwinning and Twinspace, as well as planning further activities within the project "Participation of pupils at European schools: How democratic are our schools for pupils in Europe? ”from the Erasmus + program, supported by the National Agency of the Republic of Macedonia. The mobility was attended by teachers and students from the high school "Ljupco Santov" - Kocani, Macedonia, Marijampoles Suduvos gimnazija - Marijampole, Lithuania, Sainte Pulcherie French High School - Istanbul, Turkey, LICEUL TEHNOLOGIC "SFANTULPANTELIMON" - Buckarest, Romania, IGS - Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany, who participated online-virtually.
On the first day the participants were welcomed to the school by the coordinator Lidija Koceva, the other members of the project team, as well as by the school principal. A welcome speech by the school principal followed. In the first part of the day, the participants had the opportunity to visit the school and get acquainted with the other participants in the project. Short presentations followed for the host school and the city of Kocani. This was followed by a presentation for eTwinning and Twinspace, performed by Lidija Koceva, at which the students were introduced to their responsibilities related to the project. Then the participants went to Skopje where they had the opportunity to see some of the cultural and historical sights of the city (the old train station, the memorial house of Mother Teresa, Macedonia Street, the square in the city center, the old Skopje Bazaar, a visit to a shopping center).
In the first part of the second day, the students had a short evaluation of the expectations from the mobility. Then they worked in groups on the Legal Criteria and Opportunities for Participation in European Schools. After a short break, the students presented the results of the research they conducted at their schools. In the afternoon, the participants had a tour of the host city and visited the city museum - Ethno House, the Monument of Freedom, etc. In the evening they had a traditional dinner and the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the delicacies of Macedonian cuisine and traditional dances.
On the third day, the participants had a tour of Ohrid, where they visited the monastery of St. Naum, the Bay of Bones, the old part of the city of Ohrid, the monastery of St. John Kaneo, the Samoil's Fortress, the Ancient Amphitheater.
On the fourth day, the students presented the knowledge they gained when working on the Legal Criteria and Opportunities for Participation in European Schools. After the presentations, they discussed the pros and cons of each school individually and had a short question and answer session. Then they worked in groups individually and later presented the similarities and differences that the students noticed when they presented the opportunities for participation.
On the last day, the students had the final evaluation of their mobility expectations. This day was also provided for awarding certificates to the participants, taking photos, greeting the participants and awarding gifts. During the day, a project meeting was held at the school by the project coordinators from each country, including Germany, to discuss further activities and future mobility in Lithuania.
