  • During this project, we are have participated to the Euro Code Week 2019 and CodeWeek4All Challenge with fun and innovating activities about Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

  • CodeWeek 2019 - our events

    Our CodeWeek event included:
    a) AI in our everyday life (discussion, exploring examples, creating a wordcloud with student's answers - Mentimeter)
    b) positive impacts and possible risks of AI (discussion, voting - Mentimeter)
    c) introducing students to terms neural network and machine learning (watching videos)
    d) exploring Google Experiments: AI + Drawing (Quick, Draw!)
    e) playing LearningApps games (AI and ML, on Croatian)

    We did an initial assessment (MS Forms) and an exit card (Edmodo: poll and comments).

    CODING PYTHON IN COLEGIO PIO XII VALENCIA

    Pupils has started to program in Phyton. Learning basic structures like loops, variables, etc. Some of the exercises in Valenciano were:
    Programació en Python:
    1. Imprimir “Hola mundo” per pantalla.
    2. Crear dos variables numéricas, sumarlos y mostrar el resultat.
    3.De dos números, saber cual es el major.
    4. Crea una variable numérica y si està entre 0 y 10, mostrar un mensaje indicant-lo.
    5. Donada la paraula EXERCICI, fes que mostre sols EXER
    6. Programa que demani base i altura y calcule l'àrea del rectangle.
    7. Programa que demana el radio i calcule l'àrea del cercle.
    8. Programa que un preu i calcule el preu final amb IVA(21%).
    9. Programa que demana una contrasenya i en cas d’encert mostre “benvingut” i sinó torni a demanar-la.
    10. Programa que mostre el major de 3 numeros.
    11. Pide una tabla y te la muestre p.e la del 5.

    Our "EU Code Week 2019" events:
    * I talked to my students about artificial intelligence.
    * We conducted research on machine learning and deep learning which is the foundation of AI.
    * My students tried "Google AI Experiments". They made a lot of fun with "Quick Draw". The recognition of these drawings by artificial intelligence surprised and amused them.

    #CodeWeek2019 activities! Students from 6th grade (St1 & St2) are running into activities relative to Logic Games and Scratch coding. The first part of the Scratch Machine Learning activity "Make me Smile" is over, next we will use part of this coding to train a model to recognize kind and impolite words! (based on https://machinelearningforkids.co.uk/#!/worksheets "Make Me Happy")
