It is a virtual exhibition: ITALY IN EUROPE- EUROPE IN ITALY , this is the link to watch it:
https://www.educazionedigitale.it/europanoi/strumenti-download/mostra-interattiva-2020/start.html
It portays the events that have marked the process of European integration and offers the opportunity to know the highlights of European Union and the role of Italy, but above all the "added value" of being a European citizen. The photos of the great events that marked the history of integration, from the signing of the Treaties of Rome to the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the Union, are side by side with those of the protagonists and the facts that contributed to the changes of Europe and the history of the world in a continuous game of references, ranging from post-war ruins to reconstruction and development, passing through the Beatles and the fall of the Berlin Wall, the birth of the Euro and the migration crisis. This virtual exhibition was the starting point for a discussion about the common European values and the importance of history . The students were asked to think about the way they could represent european values , in any form. They immediately suggested representing them by an image, a phrase, a painting, etc... Some suggestions were a collection of : images(paintings, photos, drawings), literary texts (poems), places (bridges, amphitheatres). Finally they agreed with representing the common European values by the Roman amphitheatres because their shape suggests a sense of unity, a big hug embracing European peoples and moreover ANCIENT ROME can be considered the forunner of the the modern idea of Europe which gathers peoples under common values
