Coordinating School letter

  • A project for a better future

Erasmus projects allow organizations such as public schools to improve their performance and explode the European spirit, the union among different cultures, different educational systems, different languages.  This project has been a small step to strengthen binds/links  among our countries, to make a stronger Europe, a better society. Our students have shared experiences and as consequence prejudices are dropped: no Italian, no German, no Greek, no Spanish; only people who love life and  live in peace, only people. Our future, in my view, is clearer and more secure with these kind of projects. 1 EPAL Chios, Einaudi Pareto and Osterholz-Scharmeck will be friend schools forever for my school, for my colleagues, for me. Thank you, grazie, danke, efcharistó, gracias. The  Greek sunset, everybody expecting how the day defeated the sun in the middle of a paradise,   the bowling day in a pretty German city while we laughing sharing an unforgettable afternoon,  the visit to the Monreale cathedral or the Palazzo Real, the experience lived in our Guadaquivir River. How much the project is giving us!

The project has explored solutions on the cloud to  allow teachers and students has better work labs and preparing for using in their work life.  We have investigated services on the cloud such as storage, office tools,  coding on the cloud, creating a map for the first year, for example. Now, the activities about PaaS and Iaas are the focus. Teachers have participated in a online course to learn cloud technologies and we have been working at classes with our students:  use of GIT to control versions of documents and integrate with remote repository as Github,  install CMS on the cloud like Wordpress or Joomla on Windows or Linux systems,  use the cloud for the Internet of things  with "1st Chio's EPAL Temperature Humidity logger", etc.   And working the digital competence in different format: documents, presentations, CMS, video-tutorial ... All school have done an excellent work,  a great effort to reach the project objectives. Thanks, colleagues, thank friends.

On the other hand, our local economy improves thanks to these kind of projects: students with a better training help companies to grow, to show them other technologies, and the companies also help our educational system to improve thanks to their projects. A great relationship that benefits to all the actors of the process: students, companies and teachers.  Vocational Training gives solutions to solve difficult times such as the economic crisis. Erasmus+ helps us to develop projects, and if offers a perfect scenario to reach their objectives. Besides, the cultural and social activities of the mobilites helps our cities the possibility to be open to the other countries, to become brothers cities: Ostherholz-Schamerck, Chios, Palermo, Sevilla. The cities economy thanks the mobilities as well.

Thank you very much, Erasmus, thank you very much brothers, friends, colleagues.
