    Kelme “Aukuras” basic school is a public school that is located in a small town called Kelme in Lithuania. Pupils between 7(6)-16 years old are taught at the school. There are 356 students at the school: 182 primary school pupils (age 7 (6)-10) and 174 students in the department of the basic school (age 10-16). There are 8 teachers in the primary school department and 34 teachers who teach pupils in the basic school department. Also there are 4 teachers, 1 special educator and 1 speech therapist who provide help to students who have special individual learning difficulties/needs, such as focusing, reading, writing, counting, pronouncing the sounds. The vision of the school is the distinctive, modern and advancing school for everyone. Moreover, the school differs from other schools in the town and district of Kelme as it has been using the elements of Waldorf pedagogy methodology for pupils between 7(6)-10 years old since 2011. It faces a schoolchild as an individual and stimulates his/her individual perfection by emphasizing his/her best abilities in each subject. Additionally, the school provides early English and German (from the first school year) teaching in
    order to develop an intelligent, creative, successful future citizen who will be able to communicate with people from all over the world. It also promotes pupils’ motivation to acknowledge other countries, cultures, traditions, history. Moreover, it makes him/her a tolerant European who is able to make the individual, responsible and reasonable decisions as an independent person. Kelme “Aukuras” basic school has implemented many European projects. The last one was finished 30/09/2018. The participant countries of the project were: Turkey, Greece, Spain, Romania, Italy.
    Participation in the projects connects colleagues, students and teachers to achieve common goals.Also, it makes an opportunities to see the practices of other countries and share the examples of good experiences.
