"There is a spaceship computer on the teacher's desk. the class has room for 12 students. In front of the smart board, there are egg chairs that let in sound only from the direction of the smart board. There are robots circulating in the classroom to help students. There are drones circulating in the airspace of the classroom, supervising students and purifying the air. There are espresso machine, coffee cup and a plant on the teacher's desk. There are two screens in the class. The smaller on is from the spaceship and the larger on is oversized TV because I couldn't find an object like a smart board."

  • FUTURE CLASSROOM DESIGNS

Our project has been exploring the idea of 'future classrooms'. What might they look like? What might be in them? How will they work? Maybe in the future we will want to see more high-tech gadgets to support us, or maybe the focus will be more on mental health and well-being...

Here you will see designs made by our pupils for their ideal future classrooms, which they believe will best serve the needs of children as we move into the 2020s. Pupils have been learning from the past and sharing ideas for their futures, emphasising a need in many cases for eco-friendly solutions to problems. They recognise the benefits of working together on common goals and of having learning environments which work for everybody.

Once all the designs have been submitted, there will be a peer vote to select favourite designs.
