  • NEW TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS

Traditionally the music teacher and her students prepare a Christmas concert - this year it took place in the church.  Some of the songs (carols) were very OLD and traditional but some of the songs were NEW. Probably you will find out on your own when watching the video.

    MEAD UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE

A few years ago people from two churches started together a new tradition - a charity event called MEAD UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE.
It takes place annually in the main square of Vysoké Mýto
and the raised money go to BERENIKA which is a local facility for disabled people.

    OLD TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS

Christmas (as most of the other traditional festivals) has some customs that are more or less kept till nowadays. In the following presentation you can find out about some of them:

One of the students has interviewed her granny
to find out about the differences between Christmas in the past and now:

Some students from the first grade wrote a short essay to compare
how they celebrated Christmas 10 years ago and how they celebrate it now:

    Christmas in the museum

The week before Christmas the local museum in Vysoké Mýto had workshops for schools and other visitors. Some of the classes of our school took part in the workshops, below you can see a few photos taken during the PRIMA class visit to the museum.
