GYMJAM

What is GYMJAM? It is an event in September when the students have no classes but special programme for the whole day. This year it was on 7th September - in the morning we prepared a competition for the pupils of other schools and in the afternoon, after marching together to the main square, there was a cultural program on the open air stage. You can feel a bit of its special atmosphere if you watch the video.

TRIP TO BRITAIN

50 students from our school (including some working on this project) visited the Lake District in Great Britain from 12/9 to 19/9.

100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia

On 28th October 1918 the Czech Republic became an independent country. So as to celebrate the students of our school created a short film. Then on 27th October we were in the cinema to watch together with a film called Gentle Waves that is about teens in 1989, the year when the era of socialism finally ended in Czechoslovakia.

We have taken out one epizode of the students´ film and added subtitles so that you could watch it too and understand. It is about splitting up the republic in 1993. Don´t take it seriously - we wanted to amuse you. You can see other two episodes that deal with the history of our town on the page "OLD and NEW in school/ town". Enjoy.
