  • Working on our e-paper at school

Greek and French pupils forming mixed groups started sorting out the themes to be included as atricles in the 3d issue of the paper . The cultural visits and the tours around the area gave the teams a lot of material and resources to write about ! Working together was fun while parents provided snacks and food for our daily breaks at school !!!

Visiting the Town Hall - Talking to Local Authorites

The Mayors ' Deputy  welcomed the children of France and she said a few things about this beautiful little town, Preveza. She said that Preveza is surrounded by   two seas, by  the Ionian Sea and the Amvrakikos Gulf. She also referred to some poets such as Kostas Karyotakis. In addition, Ms. Aggeli gave children the opportunity to ask a few questions and tell us some things that impressed them. The first question concerned the city center. The children then wondered why there is no crowd in the city center from  2 at  noon and 6 in the afternoon. Our answer, of course, was that in the public sector people work  from 7am to 3pm when they return home to eat and rest. However, in the private sector, Mrs Angeli answered that  things are a bit different and so people may return at 9 or even 10 at home.  What impressed them was that people in Greece are generally much more open and when someone meets someone  they will greet him with a smile or even to an unknown person they will say good morning or hi. Finally, something else that impressed them a lot was that the teenage girls dressed here as they want, without looking at each other and without criticizing him negatively, while in France they have a special way of dressing and criticizing one another, they  are  all dressed the same way, wearing daily jeans with a simple t-shirt. But their clothes have to be with a brand name on them.

Thet were warmly welcomed , given presents and offered a light meal leaving the best impressions of the Greek Hospitality .
