    PREPARING THE LAST MOBILITY IN GREENLAND - EVALUATION AND DISSEMINATION 

    Greek and French teachers met on line to prepare the agenda and discuss details of the last Greenland mobility . Arrangements were made so that the meeting with parents and planning an on -line meeting with Greenladic partners and the Natioanl Dannish Erasmus+ Coordinator .

    During our meeting tonight we settled all things related to the mobilities to France and Greece, programme of activities , details on how to proceed with our 2 next e-paper issues devoted to France and Greece respectively .

     

    11th partners' meeting - 21st February 2019 , 18:00 CET 

    Our on -line me​​​​​​​eting yestarday was to manage pages of our twinspace wit​​​​​​​​​​​​​​h  our partners , move on with project activities and prepare the mobilities .

    So this is what was decided  :

    • Finalise the first issue and write comments on the relevant  pages on twinspace
    • Instructions on how to use the new twinspace interface
    • Finalise questionnaires PPts and e.c.t. about the Mobility to France
    • Start preparing the relevant material for the mobility to Greece 
    • organising the matching of pupils for the host families
    • setting the next meeting for Wednesday the 6th of March , 18.00 CET

    This meeting was devoted to the last minute questions concerning the mobility to Greenland.

    • Approval of the programme of visite suggested by paarma and her colleagues
    • Cultural activities at the beginning of the mobility: Greek and French day: bring in the flags / Cultural presentation of our team / france / dances / theatrical piece / national food for the first collaborative dinner
    • Financila issues (15 x student x day in cash to bring along and have students keep it)
    • How to proceed with the mobility tool: contact Jan
    • Approval from the parents to take pictures and make it public
    • Certificates of attendence

    Meeting agenda and results:

    1. Dates and modalities of the first mobility: France and Greece to Greenland, travel arrangements

    The Greek and French partners are supposed to leave for Greenland on Thursday, the 1st of November and  to arrive to Nuuk by the evening on Saturday, the 3rd of November.

    Sunday, the 4th of November: get a rest in the morning and meet up with Greenlandic peers in the afternoon in order to carry our ice-breaking and team-building activities.

    The partners will leave Greenland on Thursday, the 8th of November and will arrive to their home countries on 9-10th of November

    Jan:

    Greenland Travel Agency. Her name is Elise Bruun and her email address is: elb@greenland-travel.gl

    When she has the dates and the number of male and female travellers she will be able to present a package deal for our Greek and French visitors.

    Paarma:

    The greenlandic students can meet up with us on Sunday

    It’s better for us to travel through Kopenhagen

    Will inform Jan and he will try to see with the travel agency the possibilities for travelling

    2. Dates and modalities of the first mobility: France and Greece to Greenland, programme of stay

    Nov 3. (Saturday):  Pick up at Airport, checking in at hostel / getting to the host families, city tour

    Nov 4, (Sunday): Various project and get to know each other activities at Kangilinnguit School

    /Cultural activities ("Greenland, France, Greece Day” prepared and carried out by the visiting students

    Nov 5. (Monday): Morning: collaborative activities at school/ afternoon: Workshop at University including guided tour The University will get back to us no later than 4 weeks before you arrive. It will probable be Monday that the workshop will take place, but it could also be Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Nov 6. (Tuesday): Morning: collaborative activities at school / afternoon: Visit The Parliament, the Town Hall, hunters and fishermen's market and the Museum

    Nov 7. (Wednesday): Morning: collaborative activities at school / afternoon: The Climate Research Centre and the Institute of Natural Resources  

    Nov 8. (Thursday): Goodbye - see you in France and Greece

    While in Nuuk, the bus will be available for the visits.

    3. Accomodation

    3.1. For students:

    Paarma:

    The Greenlandic families are ready to host French and Greek students at their homes.

    The longest ride from school to the families’ houses is around 20 min. By bus

    Two visiting students can stay together

    Barbara:

    Create asap the willing groups for staying together and get the kids and the parents in contact starting from now so that they can start communicating

    3.2. For teachers:

    Accomodation for teachers: airbnb is cheaper than the hotels

    The number and gender of visiting teachers:

    Greece: 2 female and 1 male

    France: 1 female and 1 male

    Preparatory activities to be carried out by the students in local and transnational teams

    - The students prepare and publish their self presentations in order to explain who they are and what their motivation for the project is

    The Logo competition: Create the logo of the project

    These presentations will be used during the Greece and France day activities in Greenland

    Weather in Greenland in early November:

    Early November will most likely not be snowy, but it can be all kinds of weather. Expect fantastic sundowns (orange and red colors) and northern lights (we have lots these days).

    Divers:

    • Paarma’s mobility team: 25 students and 4 teachers

    • Warm clothes for Barbara’s students: French solution

    • Content-based learning: a lesson on Greenland in English to be delivered to the students in France and Greece who haven’t taken part in the mobility.

    • Dinner arrangements and cultural activities is something that you can arrange with the school. They are eager to spend most of the week with you and I’m sure that you can organise something in detail with Paarma and Ane Sofie.
