When the French and the Greenlander students visited our school we went on  some excursions. In our effort to get to know the students from the other countries the beauty, the history and the tradition of our region, we visited the ΚΠΕ of Filippiada. Before we reach the KΠΕ , we visited Astoria,  a soap factory we toured in this and saw how soap is done out of olive oil.

 When we arrived Tthe KPE ( center of Environmental Studies )  we were informed about the use of the buildings formerly which was the orphanage of the  village of Ziros "and today it is a center of environmental education.

After going to the village of Agios Georgios, we saw on the road the Water Generating Electricity  factory of Lourou, the Roman Aquaduct, which survives in a good condition and water supply to the city of Nikopolis at a distance of 50 km. The area has a lot of  Water  sources , because the Louros river passes through there. That's why the locals have been doing from earlier to now waterfriction to wash the clothes and water mill to grind the wheat and produce flour. After that we saw the lake of Ziros.
