Our school is a secondary school in school the city of Sainte-Savine next to Troyes in the region of Champagne. It’s a private catholic school where pupils are from different social backgrounds, origins and religions. There are over 200 pupils from 11 to 25 years old and 17 teachers. Two or three projects are led every year within the school. One of them involving European countries each year. Themes are different every year and the theme of this project is really interesting for us since we’ve never led any project dealing with health and we are more and more concerned about the consequences of bad eating habits and lack of exercice on the pupils’ results. In our school half of the pupils eat at the cafeteria and the other half goes back home or go to fast-food restaurants. At the cafeteria the menus are planned with a nutritionist. PE teachers work more and more on new methods such as relaxation-therapy or breathing methods and are willing to take part in the project as well.
