    Geometric shapes: use your sight and imagination!

    Objectives:

    Students are going to learn geometric shapes and their features.

    Students are going to learn how to compare, displace, rotate and flip the shapes

    Success Criteria:

    I know how to represent geometric shapes.

    I know how to work with flat shapes.

    I know how to recognize geometrical shapes even if they are differently oriented in the plane.

    I know how to create isometric compositions.

    I learn English by playing and enjoying myself.

    Introduction:

    The teachers introduce themselves briefly showing some slides and asking students what they know about Italy

    Activities/ Methods:

    -The teachers present the board game “Tangram”

    - The teachers show a power point file to explain the game, the  

      rules and the objectives

    Evaluation:

    -The students, working in cooperative groups, have to form given picture using the different geometric shapes.

    A team will win the game.
