The monumental basilica located at Kalekapı,the entrance to the antique city,is a well protected one and it was unearthed during the archaeological excavations undertaken by Tekirdağ Museum Directorate.
Perinthos-Herakleia basilica which was supposed to be built towards the end of the fifth century at A.D.The main space of the basilica is covered by marble whereas the side naves and the bottom of narthex are covered by mosaic.
