    The Józef Wybicki Gimnazjum No1 /junior high school/ in Lębork was an institution that was established in 1999 as a result of the reform of education. It was a heir to the name and achievements of Primary School No1 - the oldest school in Lębork, which opened its doors to students on May 24,1945,and the last students left its walls in June 2001. Gimnazjum No 1 was a modern school that focused on comprehensive development of their students. 

    On 1 September 2017, on the basis of the resolution of the city council in Lębork, regarding the adaptation of the primary and junior high school networks to the new law concerning the school system, the junior high school /Gimnazjum No1/ transformed into an eight-year public primary school called The Józef Wybicki Primary School No 1.

    There are 450 students aged 6/7, 12-15 and 32 teachers; the teachers and students are willingly involved in various educational, artistic and sports projects.
