Globalization and the Internet

  • Globalisation and The Internet

The internet is great for many things, like helping people stay in touch, spreading vital information and easing the burden of everyday tasks, like shopping or paying the bills.

However, it’s also terrible for a lot of reasons...

It is really important to make a difference between the virtual life and the real one. When we use new technologies, usually we shut ourself from everything to join an unreal world. Because of the development of Internet, many of us forgot how to communicate with other people and what we call "social network" is just an illusion... Unconsciously, we are raising a world of self-interest and self-promotion.

However, without technology, globalization would probably not be a topic for discussion. In particular, communications technology, in which the Internet plays a major role, has revolutionized how people work, expanded the global knowledge base and provided a variety of ways of bringing people and cultures closer together.

Some of us work online, some of us play there, and some of us do both. The Internet provides a platform where companies that are thousands of miles apart can communicate and share information.

The Internet has been a key factor in driving globalization !
