The third Learning/Teaching/Training Activity was held from 7 to 13 May 2019 at Collège Marthe Dupeyron in Langogne, France.
During this meeting, families of Langogne hosted our students and they had a close contact with the local culture and their daily life. Besides, both teachers and students followed lessons and various academic activities so that they could observe similarities and differences between their schools and cultures.
We held a welcome reception at Collège Marthe Dupeyron. The student partners, as representatives of their respective countries, introduced their video presentations about their school, school system and their hometown.Partners participated in different workshop/meetings were they discussed and agreed project activities. The students exchanged views on working life on the basis of interviews with relatives, older people and representatives of local companies.They made a common summary of the interviews carried out in this project.They also chose the cover of our final booklet from all the proposals designed by the students participating in the project.
We set up an exhibition with the topic “The working life”, consisting of reports of the interviews of the parents or adults, grandparents or retired people and managers of local companies about different aspect of their working lives. They illustrated these summaries and reports with photos that they have taken.The project group payed a visit to the town hall of Langogne and the mayor welcomed students and teachers.
The students visited the local nursing home for elderly, shared a table and interacted with residents and personnel. They also interplayed with pre-schoolers when visiting the Ecole maternelle les Florinons. These visits give them a wider understanding of the local culture and a chance to represent their own culture.The participants toured the historical town Le-Puy-en-Velay as well as the local cultural attractions and monuments.
