Let's celebrate Saint George at our schools, but in a very special way.

As in Catalonia we celebrate this special day as a symbol of love and culture, we will export our tradition to the rest of Europe.

First of all, have a look at how we do celebrate this festival of love and culture.

Our Greek partners will join us and will also give a book to someone they appreciate or love. 

We will also make a bookmark with a sweet kind message, and we will send them as a gift and symbol of friendship and love to our partners from Alexandroupolis and they will do the same for us.

We will meet together on a live event, then pupils will show their bookmarks and also talk about the eco-actions that students and teachers do at both schools.

But that is not all!!!

We will organize a swappable book market on the 23rd April after the live event. A very intelligent way to reuse books and to promote and share culture and traditions in Europe!

All teachers, parents and pupils from our schools will bring a book they have read at home and will give it to someone else.

Here are the letters which invite the whole school community in both schools to participate into this cultural and traditional event.

Excitement in our classrooms and also in our schools.

First we met in a videoconference which was fantastic because we could sing "happy birthday"  to our dear teacher Angeliki.

Then, we presented to each other our bookmarks where we wrote personal messages of love and friendship as well as environmental ones!!

And after the videoconference, the Swappable book market:

Students of all levels in both schools exchanged their books, and also teachers! What a wonderful experience! 

It has been a perfect way to share culture, tradition, love and smiles to everyoneI

And what about the bookmarks? 

We sent our handmade bookmarks with special messages on them:

Greece wrote messages about our sustainable project and Catalonia send messages about the importance of reading.

The oldest students even recommended a book behing their handmade bookmark, which also exchanged with their partners.
