Fourth project meeting in Kamenz

On Monday we all met at the school and listened to a speech by our headmaster and Mr Stötzner. Then we introduced our school and the city. Because of that we went to the town centre. Our mayor welcomed all of us in the town hall where we all had the chance to talk to him. In the evening we had Dinner at the Tomogara.

Tuesday we had our first intercultural training. It was about the difference between prejudice and discrimination and how to tell these apart. After the training we went to the concert of our school choir where some of the people of the Erasmus+ programme also took part. There the day already came to an end.

The third day we again had our programme in the morning until 15:00. This time it was about disabilities and how disabled people could be discriminated at our school. For this we walked through the building and searched for such obstacles. After the training some of our students made the suggestion to stay at school until night and watch a movie together. Thus a group of seven people went to a nearby supermarket to buy some snacks. During this another group prepared the pizza for dinner. As everyone was at school again we first ate and then watched the movie.

On Thursday was the last of our three trainings in which we prepared an event to integrate refugee children into our home schools. After that we all did sports in our gym, like football, badminton or volleyball. When it was dinnertime all of the german students had brought some food so we could eat together. In the evening we went bowling alltogether.

Friday was our last day with the exchange students. We went to Dresden and did a city tour there. After that we all went to a sight we were able to choose beforehand. Thus some of us went on top of the Frauenkirche, while other visited the Residenzschloss. When that was over we had some freetime and at 17:00 we went home again. In the evening we all met again at the La Piazza to have a finishing party.
