Second training session Szczecinek, Poland (6th-10th November, 2017)
In this last meeting in Poland we all had mixed emotions. On the one side we were happy to meet our friends with whom we have now very strong bonds; but on the other side, we were sad because this was to be our last meeting in Poland.
On Monday all delegations met in order to revise the objectives of the project and do some follow-up about the process and our achievements. Our hosts also explained more in detail the activities for the week.
Tuesday was very busy. The first activity of the day was to visit a Primary class. Each of us sat with three kids and helped them to fulfill a set of tasks. Right after, we did some classroom observation of English lessons and Polish language lessons, too. The last one was particularly good to see, because their teacher is encouraging working in teams. In the afternoon we enjoyed the Swedish workshop on the three-part conversation method.
Wednesday presented a very tight agenda; we did a trip to torun. There we joined school students with whom we attended two chemistry workshops related to their curriculum. The rest of the day consisted on visiting the gingerbread museum and touring the city. To put it in one word, Torun is simply fascinating!
Thursday morning was destined to visit two vocational training centers in Szczecinek, whereas in the afternoon we enjoyed our workshops.
The last day was destined for discussing about the activities of the week and assessing the organization, timing, workshops, materials... etc, as well as bouncing some new ideas about the design and lay-out of our training courses. Another main aspect of that morning was talking about our expectations for our next meeting and getting more specific about the activities to be carried out.
The next meeting is to take place in Tenerife next January, 2018. This time the topic will be school organization.
