Szczecinek, Poland. 11th-13th October, 2016
Our three institutions met in Szczecinek in October in order to run our first organizational meeting. It was thrilling to finally meet face to face with the people who you have worked together for quite a while.
The headmistress of Gimnazjum nr.1 Szczecinek, Beata, Ceglarz, warmly welcomed us and befriended us in the name of the host institution. They gave us a tour around their school facilities and classrooms and explained to us some of the European projects they have carried out so far.
We devoted some time to explain one another the main features of each educative system before dealing with specific aspects of our project, such as the contract agreement, the clarification of roles regarding project management and implementation, and the organization of the training activity which is to take place in Poland in November.
One of the main topics of this meeting was the clarification of intellectual and material outputs. We decided to follow a hands-on approach, so we carried out a design thinking session which turned out to be very productive. We bounced many ideas around and came out with an even more focused and shared vision of our final products.
There was also time to experience culture immersion and to get to know each other a bit more, which was something we all enjoyed quite a lot. We all think we clicked! Let's see what is waiting for us now. There's still too much to do, but we are enthusiastic about it.
