In Greece, we started making the KCC project famous by preparing the first school bulletin adding cards with castles and flags that our partners from Germany, Italy, Wales, Spain (Catalonia) and Austria sent to us.
The school bulletin was enriched occasionaly during the school year with the produced material.
Kids Conquering Castles, our precious Erasmus+ project, was presented in European level by the Greek responsible, during a Teachmeet event organised by the European Schoolnet Academy for the purpose of the "Boosting a Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship in Your Students" MOOC.
The first attempt to make our project well known in Greece was in March 2017, when the Kids Conquering Castles Erasmus+ project was presented in Komotini, Greece, during an event organised to celebrated the 30 years from Erasmus to Erasmus+.
To disseminate our project to the school community as well as to the people who visit our school's website, we created a page in the Erasmus+ projects (click on the photo)
where the visitor can take a tour either on the official KCC website (click on the photo)
and to the Greek KCC club's blog (click on the photo)
At the end of the school year, June 2017, we organised several events to present all the work that was done during the 1st year of the project implementation.
Firstly we invited parents and teachers, as well as pupils to watch all the activites we have done during the first year of the project's implementation. Pupils got a little present for the work they have done: a hat and a bag with the KCC logo to start their summer holidays!!
Then, we presented the unique experience the KCC team lived during the LTTA Camp in Navas in May 2017.
Even the mayor joined the event and watched carefully Andrianna's, Polytimi's, Theologis's and Manto's presentation!!!
Kids Conquering Castles dissemination is one of our priorities in the 2nd year of development too.
So, at the beginning of the school year we prepared a classroom bulletin, drawing a castle where we upload occasionaly many products. From the very first material, postcards from all the castles of the project...till the second year's creations.
We also take the chance to shoot photos in front of our school castle.
Occasionaly, we update the school bulletin with our activities. Like we did while waiting our guests, participants from the 5 countries to come in Alexandroupoli, to be hosted at our school and discuss about the project.
For this purpose we updated the school bulleting with Erasmus+ material, sent from our National Agency and dedicated to the 30 years of Erasmus.
We took a memory photo in front of the school bulletin...
as well as in front of the school library where we have put the eTwinning flag and a stand of flags from all the participant countries.
The school bulletin was upadated after the elections' campaign where we uploaded pupils' posters made for this purpose.
One of our purposes is also to keep making our projects' activities well known to the school community.
Working for this, we organized a school event for teachers and our new headteacher to present them what we have done during the 2nd Transnational meeting in Greece.
For the purposes of our project's dissemination in the local community, we often use the local Portals and Social Media, as the visitor can watch in the Media in Greece subpage.
At the end of this school year we organized a feast in our school. We prepared a poster making an announcement on Facebook and Twitter,
we sent an invitation card to parents
and we presented our project to teachers and parents.
We organized also a successful KCC market, more or less similar to that we did in Gemona, during the LTTA CAMP.
Coming to an end of this school year, we evaluated the project, offering ourselves an ice cream as a reward of the work we did all the previous months.
We deserve the certificates and the KCC bags, don't we?
Make the Kids Conquering Castles well known, 3rd year 2018-19
As we did the 2 previous year, one of our goals was to keep making our project famous to te school community. For this reason we kept updated the KCC project's bulletin occasionaly, like the:
Elections Campaign period
Drawing our Castles and voting for the best
Painting with Cubism technique and voting for the best
Presenting our work during the final KCC project dissemination
Project's activites were presented at the beginning of this school year during a Teachmeet orginized by the "Entrepreneruship in Education" eTwinning featured group as an example of good practices to promote our cultural heritage through entrepreneurship.
We disseminated our project posting news on the social media as well as sending press lereases to the local media.
After the LTTA CAMP in Berlin, Greek KCC students had the chance to listen carefully and watch the presentation that their mates who participated in the Camp had to share with them.
Marianna, Sophia, Elena, Theodora and Dimitra spoke about their impressions, the study visits to Castles and palaces, the workshops they attent and share their entousiasm and the precious moments they lived in Berlin!
Coming to the end of the 3rd school year of the KCC Erasmus+ project implementation, we oranised an event at the school inviting teachers, students, experts to inform them about our work on promoting Castles through our KCC cooperative.
During the event, our audience had the chanche to watch a detailed presentation of what we did all these three years to make our Castles well known setting up a cooperative, the KCC cooperative and work as real entrepreuners to preserve our Cultural Heritage!
During the event students guided their parents to the exhibition and market we organised to shell some souvenirs and our postcards with all the castles painted with different art techniques.
In the following video, we tried to share with you some of the exciting moments we lived during this event while presenting our KCC project having with us experts that we helped us during these three years and part of students of all the KCC teams that joined us since 2016.
After all this awasome work, they surely deserve a certificate and a KCC hat as a gift!!
