Our project

  • The title of the project ("The future is in our hands") refers to different aspects. On the one hand, as today's teachers, we teach the generation of the future, thus future is in our hands. On the other hand, we ourselves can form the future of education, though this needs constant learning and renewal.

The fundamental point in the strategic improvement of our school is to make education more effective, to develop the teachers' digital and foreign language competences and widen their repertoire of methods. To achieve these objectives 5 teachers will take part in different training courses during the project, where they will learn about educational apps and digital tools which they will be able to integrate in their teaching practice in an effective way. Hereby we will be able to keep pace with the development of the quickly changing digital world and to create a learning environment where our students will become more motivated and also become more active participants in the learning process.
After the mobilities, the participant teachers will transfer their knowledge to their colleagues in workshops, which fosters the introduction of these useful apps and tools to a wider range of teachers and also promotes their use in practice.

Our other important objective is internationalization, namely to join European programmes, to establish international relations and cooperations, to learn about good practices from other countries and to integrate them into our pedagogic work. To achieve this aim, it's important to raise the number of teachers who have suitable knowledge to take part in international training courses in the future. For the sake of this, 5 participant teachers will complete language courses in the project, to improve their foreign language competence.

During the implementation of the project, the participants' other competences will improve as well (planning, implementation, checking, assessment, collaboration, initiative), which they can apply in their later work successfully, too.
The participants will get to know the culture, customs and values of other countries and they will introduce these to the school community in different events. This will increase the openness and tolerance towards other cultures and also provides a glance into the diversity of European culture.

The participants of the project (primary school teachers, human and real subject teachers, language teachers) are open to learn about and use new methods and they are also very committed in their profession. They have already implemented several projects in our school and they are ready to take part in an international cooperation. There is also a teacher among the participants who has gained experience in the implementation of an international project.
By the implementation of this project the teachers will become more skilled and motivated and this will have a positive effect on students' attitude towards learning and it will provide a more effective education and a better quality of school atmosphere.
