Borealis Linz Donau Marathon

  • „Schule läuft“-The school goes running

This is the theme of an action to encourage young people in Upper Austria to go running. The aim is to take part in the 14th Borealis Linz Donau Marathon, a running event that takes place each year and attracts altogether almost 20,000 participants. The idea is that teachers and students take part in a quarter distance of a marathon.

This event is a very important touristic event for Linz because it attracts many athletes and spectators, who watch the runners and motivate them from the side of the streets. It takes place one week after the Vienna City Marathon.

This year participants from all the Business Academies of Upper Austria will show up and run dressed in a uniform blue T-shirt with the text HAK OÖ rennt on the back. The BHAK-Linz International Business School, that has taken part in this event regularly in recent years, will field 3 teachers and about 30 students who take part in this running event. Among them there will also be 3 members of the Erasmus+ project ESCAPE team. Therefore, we want to present the event also on our Twin Space. Maybe we can have an international group of participants at that event next year!
