CZECH TAKEAWAYS FROM THE SESSION
St Nicholas
In Romania they have an interesting tradition on the eve of St. Nicholas. They clean shoes and put it behind the door and wait for sweets from St. Nicholas. We think it is a great tradition and we like it. It is a little bit different from the Czech Republic. We put socks behind the window and wait for sweets.
Christmas
People also go to church to attend a mass in the evening.
School field trips
Our Romanian partners also have some excursions and they go skiing with school. Their school is also involved in many projects. They were at every meeting with the Escape project.
Tourists in summer
Romanians usually travel with their family to foreign countries, for example to Spain. They like visiting big cities with culture and they are accommodated mostly in hotels and apartments. There is a sea named “the Black Sea” and that´s why they travel here a lot.
Tourists in winter
They usually stay in their country and go skiing or go to Austria. Some people can afford holidays by the sea. They really like skiing and snowboarding.
We´ll be happy to have any more comments from you. Thanks! Tábor students"
ROMANIAN TAKEWAYS FROM THE SESSION
St. Nicholas
In Czech Republic, St. Nicholas also brings sweets to good, well behaving children, but he places the gifts in their socks.
Christmas
Is mostly a family holiday. Families gather around the Christmas tree, have a special traditional fish dinner, children find presents left under the tree by Baby Jesus and then they go to church for the Christmas mass.
School field trips
Our partners have many excursions and school field trips. They have a special trip in winter for skiing and travel abroad in summer to practice on their future economic jobs in foreign countries. Their school is involved in many projects.
Tourists in summer
Czech tourists travel by car, but also by train or by plane to their summer destinations. They choose cultural cities or go to the sea. In their country or abroad, they prefer to be accomodated in hotels, but they can share accommodation with others as well, to make it cheaper.
Tourists in winter
Czech tourists go to ski in winter, in their country or abroad. Some of them prefer to escape from cold weather, so they choose southern warmer destinations.
