    Description: The main purpose of our project is to provide a social and interactive environment that will enable our students to use more foreign languages ​​(English) and to keep our students active in this environment.
    The project aims to increase the academic success of our students and to improve their attitudes towards foreign languages, thanks to the studies we will integrate into curriculum studies.

    Language: English

    Age: 11-14

    Subjects: language, nature, social studies, geography, science, arts,

    Aims:

    Students will;

    • develop a new identity and be a member of a social group,
    • meet new friends from different countries,
    • improves the ability to recognize problems, produce solutions, and discuss,
    • discover to use foreign language on different topics,
    • gain four main competences of a foreign language; reading, writing, speaking and listening.

    The institutions will;

    • pay more attention to teaching a new language,
    • be owned by students,
    • be recognized locally, nationally or even internationally,
    • inspire its personal for new projects,
    • gain courage to submit new projects on Erasmus+

    Project time: From 15th January 2021 to 15th June 2021.

    Work process: We will do project activities according to the plan below. But we can revise the monthly activities in the face of unexpected situations like pandemic.

    We mainly work on five different topic:

         January: Preparations

         February: In the kitchen

         March: Adventures

         April: Science

         May: Natural Forces

         June: Finishing

    The most important benefit of the project will be that we will organize online meeting with all students on the related topic and that encourage our students to present their works. In addition, the students will also support each other to talk in the targeted language.

    January: PREPARATIONS

    • Introducing yourself, your class and school.
    • Selecting the students who will take part in the project actively.
    • Describing the tasks.
    • Logo, poster and slogan selections
    • Communcation ways; whatsapp, facebook or other social media.
    • Creating a survey on students, teachers and parents.
    • Creating project pages.

     

    February: IN THE KITCHEN

    • Project school introduction e-book. Our students will introduce their school and classroom. They will contribute the task on the writing skills of the language.
    • Traditional meals and dishes. Each partner will decide on the 3 or 5 traditional meals and students will work on it. The students will present their local meals to the other students. At the end of this work, we will produce traditional flavors e-book.
    • The world kitchen quiz show. We will set some mixed student groups and they will search for the given topic all together. Then, they will form the quiz questions and make the quiz show.
    • A project meal. As the common work of the project, we will produce a meal that is not cooked before J Each partner will write a part of the meal and at the end we will cook a project meal.

    March: ADVENTURES

    • School adventures, the task is to describe how we celebrate important days and dates in our school and to choose a field trip to that our students participate in and to describe it.

    April: SCIENCE

    • Funny inventions. The students will work on the funny inventions if their own countries. They will present them online.

     

    May: NATURAL FORCES

    • Disasters we experienced. Each group will work on the disasters in their hometown they experiences and present them online. We will produce the disasters we experienced e-book involving the real pictures.
    • Natural forces brochures. We will set some mixed student groups and support them to produce disaster and precaution brochures.

     

    June: FINISHING

    • The project evaluation report.
    • The last surveys for students, teachers and parents.
