An underwater volcano in the classroom ? How is it possible ?

How we did to solve the challenge before sending it to you ! CP Anne (1st grade)

First task : gather materials. Perhaps some materials will not be useful. Let see !

We have : water, sparkling water, oil, food coloring, glasses, effervescents tablets and matches.

First trial : oil, food coloring and sparkling water. It does not work.

Second trial : we add more food coloring and less oil but it does not work either.

Last try : we add effervescent tablets and it works !
