    My homeland

My homeland is Croatia. Croatia has a lot of cities, towns and villages. Cities and villages are beautiful and interesting, but diverse.  Split has the sea, the harbor and the Diocletian's Palace. People in Split speak a different dialect unlike us in Zagreb and eat a lot of fish. In Dubrovnik comes most tourists, has wonderful sea and houses of stone. On Brač all are swimming in the sea because it is surrounded by sea on all sides. The most famous beach is Zlatni rat. Tourists and surfers love visiting Zlatni rat, because of the strong wind. The oldest town on Brač Škrip is not by the sea. The city Pula has mostly chakavian dialect and have the Pula arena which hosts various events. Pula is on our largest peninsula - Istria. My country TUROPOLJE is named after cattle Tur. In Turopolje there are a lot of wooden houses and grandmothers have been baking zlijevka. In Zagorje there is mostly kajkavian dialect. They eat turkey with mlinci and produce a lot of wine. Karlovac has four rivers Kupa, Dobra, Mrežnica and Korana. In the summer children swim in Mrežnica river. My home city Zagreb has river Sava, licitar hearts and Sestine umbrellas. I like that my homeland is so various!
