Evaluation from parents

    In order to evaluate the work done in the context of the project, the opinion of the parents was requested as it is an important parameter in the whole process. Research has highlighted the need for educating children to the school and the family work together as important actors for life and education of children.

    The program enabled the active involvement of parents in both distance learning and lifelong learning.

    • Over 70% of the parents think that the program has cultivated their child's interest in protecting the environment and also cultivated skills that made their child aware of the problems facing the environment

     

    • Over 65 % of the parents think that the program contributed to the change of (children's) attitude towards the environment.

     

    • Parents also support that students have gained substantial knowledge about water and energy saving, learn how to recycle and reduce waste, animals in danger and respect and take care of the environment, be active citizens and take action towards climate change.

    • We also have to mention that children take relevant actions at home about energy and water saving,recycling and reducing waste, animals in danger and respect and take care of the environment, be active citizens and take action towards climate change.

     

    • All of them liked the fact that some of the activities of the program connected the school with the family.

     

    • The majority of the parents would like more collaboration and participation in the activities of the program and also liked the fact that their child participates in a European program where the collaboration among schools was highlighted.

     

    • We have also to mention that they mentioned the importance of distance learning. In distance learning also children became aware of relevant topics.
