Welcome to eTwinning 2018 / 2019

    Hello everyone!

Welcome to our eTwinning project! This year we are continuing working on our school values, such as RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP, FAMILY etc.

However, most of all, we are focusing on the value of PERSEVERANCE, NOT GIVING UP, NOT GETTING EASILY DISCOURAGED.

This value is imaginatively presented in the inspirational story by Bruno Ferrero "The book of treasure".

    Here is our story:

    The Book of Treasure”

    by Bruno Ferrero

In a small Persian city, in the days of the great King Selcuk, there lived a widow who had only one son. When she felt that her earthly journey was ending, she called her son and said: Our life was difficult because we were poor. “You are the only living soul I can tell my secret to. This book here. I received it from my father. The book contains all the necessary instructions to find the immense treasure. I have never had enough strength or time to read it, now I entrust it to you. Follow its instructions and you will become very rich one day”. The son, who was trying to overcome the grief for the death of his mother, began to read this thick and old book, which began with the following words: "To get to the treasure, read page by page carefully. If you go straight to the final conclusions, the book will disappear in a magical way and you will never be able to reach the treasure".

Then, the great treasure gathered in the great land which was well guarded in a cave was described. Unfortunately, the first pages of the Persian text were followed by a text in Arabic. The young man, who had already seen himself as a rich man, could not let the casual translator to overtake the treasure by giving him only false information. So he started studying Arabic with enthusiasm. After a while, he could read the text. However, he came across a fragment written in Chinese, and in other languages so the young man started to learn them eagerly too. During that time, the man made use of his excellent language skills to earn a living and soon became famous in the capital city as a one of the best translator. As a result, he wasn’t poor any more. After reading lots of pages written in different languages, the book included hints concerning treasure administration when it is achieved.

The youth was willing to get acquainted with the economics, accounting and pricing principles of precious metals and stones, movable goods and real estate to avoid being deceived when he possesses the treasure. The knowledge he learned as well as the skills he achieved made his life better. His reputation as a polyglot and a clever economist reached the king's castle. The king ordered him to join his team of advisers. Initially, he entrusted him with petty tasks. When the king got to know him better, he ordered him complicated and delicate missions, and finally appointed him the general administrator of the empire. Sam did not forget to continue reading his book, which also introduced him into the secrets of building great bridges, the lifts and machines necessary to get to the bottom of the cave.

The book described the methods of opening the stone door, the way of removing large boulders, filling gullies and hollows in order to smooth the roads.

The boy became a well-educated man who was highly respected by the local population. The king appreciated his abillities so much that he appointed him a minister, a court architect, and later - the prime minister. There was no other man in the kingdom so educated and knowledgeable in various branches as the reader of The Book of the Treasure.

One day when the young man married the king's daughter,  he finally reached the last page of the book containing the final explanation. He slowly turned the page and ... burst out laughing. It was a laugh of wonder, joy and gratefulness. The last page was made of perfectly polished metal so he could take a look at himself. The widow's son saw his face. The face of  mature, conscious, brave and wise man,well-prepared for a great career.

He  achieved all these things thanks to the book given to him by his mother. He himself was a great treasure, and the book helped him to discover it.
