ATTENTIVE AND DISCERNING AT SP 118 2017

  • ATTENTIVE AND DISCERNING AT SP 118

We've just finished working on two very important values - being ATTENTIVE (observing, listening, noticing what's important) and DISCERNING (making the right choice).

    DISCERNING AT YEAR 3F

The pupils of Year 3f were trying to learn about being DISCERNING during the meeting with Mrs Sarah Cook, an American sudent living in Poland. They wanted to understand what it takes to live in our country with very little or no Polish and tried to put themselves in Mrs Cook's shoes. They were making up some ideas for helping an ever growing number of people who live in Poland and have communication problmes.

    ATTENTIVE AT YEAR 3F

The students of Year 3f have been very ATTENTIVE indeed in taking part in musical and other cultural events. They were doing their best to listen carefully and not to disturb the performers.

    ATTENTIVE AT YEAR 5

Students in Year 5c, 5d and 6c were looking at the work of their peers at St Jospeh's about these values and tried to follow suit. They were learning new words and phrases in English about being ATTENTIVE and DISCERNING by watching their friends' from England work.

They were very happy to be able to learn from them!  Here are some photos presenting the students viewing St Jospeh's work on eTwinning.

And here are their posters - ready to look at!
