Visions

  • The role of Geogebra and our overall goal!

Geogebra offers the possibility to visualise abstract mathematical connections making it thus easier for students to understand them. Students and teachers could and can improve their grip on Geogebra due to their work in the project. For many this was the first contact with the programme and especially these were stunned by the possibilities! The files we created can be found here: https://www.geogebra.org/m.a.t.h.s. and also under "Project activity" in the Twinspace.

The students taking part in the meetings always create a PPP and a short video about the meeting which are published in the Twinspace. Hence we can exchange impressions and experiences, secure results and the steps taken to achieve those. We can not only pass these on to students of our own school, but also to reach the students at the partner schools. To find here in the Twinspace under „Our meetings“.

To sum up, it can be said that the students through their work on the project extend their learning and working technologies (personal competence), train their media competence and presentation skills, e.g., by the construction of own videos, talks and PPP. Moreover their social competence, their intercultural competence, their professionalism and their methodical competence is extended.

Every meeting for itself shows a small concluded project in which concrete results of working are finished and lessons are created from that and are tested (taught by the students). These meetings clearly raise the motivation of the students making the work between the meetings on the internet platforms go almost at ease. The fact that friendly contacts have grown to friendships also helps quite a bit of course.

In the further course we would like to develop more concrete training aids with and for students and make these accessible on "Geogebratube" also to other students and teachers.
