Hedgehog Day
November 10 is International Hedgehog Day.
These beautiful animals seem inseparably connected with forests
and parks, but without our help they may become extinct. However, anyone can help. Just remember that
so that you don't damage during late autumn walks
passing hills of leaves - this could be a winter hedgehog shelter!
It's also good to leave some dry leaves to your pets during garden cleanup.
In Poland hedgehogs are protected.
They live up to the age of seven in the wild,
but in cities they usually die much earlier
often because of the lack of wintering possibilities. A rescue for urban hedgehogs may be to designate special zones,
in which leaves are not raked in autumn,
and in the winter snow removal from snow removal.
