The World Day of the Carpathian Mountains,

     September, 26

This day is to remind us that we have to be generous with nature, which is not a really hard thing for us to do. Nature is our home. We live on this planet, so we have to take good care of it. And mountains are very important to us, there are a lot of different plants and animals in the mountains.

The Carpathians mountains stretch on the teritory of 7 countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and Serbia. This range of mountains has almost 1500 km and over 50 % of it is covered with forests.

In Romania we can find 40% of the Carpathians mountains. We can find here almost 1350 species of plants and animals.

The environment influences our life and health and we have to be more receptive at the needs of nature.
