    TRANSLATIONS

    Deadline: 30th October

    Translators of each team with the script finished, can start to work.

    Example:

    In Team 1, Petr has to translate to Czech. He has to:

    - download the file in English (1 EN.odt), from this page, in the folder "0 - SCRIPTS".

    - change the suffix (1 CS.odt),

    - state his name into,

    - translate the text

    - upload the file to the same folder.

     

    You need to install LibreOffice to edit ODT files.

     

    CARTOONS

    Deadline: 30th October

    When the script is ready, cartoonists of each team, do the following tasks:
    1. Download and print this template.
    2. Draw the story comic page, following the writers’ plot and indications.
    3. It is forbidden to show close-up drawings of Pek. It's important to describe the situation, the place, etc, but not Pek's face. In comic pages, Pek is just a dot.
    4. First frame: Pek jumping out the hat and a brief introduction.
    5. Draw thin borders. The space between two frames must be 3 millimeters. Don't create strange shaped frames.
    6. Don't draw anything important near the frames' borders, because it will be probably cut.
    7. Don't state text. Text will be put later. Don't draw balloons, like in this page. Let some space to place the text into later.
    8. It’s very important to draw close figures in order to make it easier for the students in charge of the coloring part of the process.

     

    Drawing process:

    • Drawing on the template, pencil.
    • Drawing on the template, black ink.
    • Pencil remnants are erased.
    • The page is scanned: (Remember: black ink, no pencil, no text).
      • Mode: color photo.
      • Resolution: 300 dpi.
      • Full page, with margins.
      • Save it as a bitmap format.
        Filename: Number_BW.bmp
        Zip it in: Number_BW.zip
        (Example: 1_BW.zip is the name of the cartoon for "Team 1 Eiffel Tower").
    • The ZIP is uploaded to this page, in the folder "0 - CARTOONS".
     
     

    ILLUSTRATIONS

    Deadline: 30th November

    Illustrators have to draw something fun about Pek in the travel of their team.

    - Close-ups of Pek are allowed, but it isn't compulsory.

    - Better in A4 format, but it can be smaller. Scanned in 300dpi. > BMP or PNG format.

    - It can be in black and white or color (painting it with any material or software application as GIMP).
