Once the project is finished, it is time to carry out a final evaluation whose results can also be found on eTwinning.
The result of the analyzes carried out and the comparison with the data obtained in the initial and intermediate evaluation has given us the degree of achievement of the objectives that we set ourselves:
We have evaluated the improvement of communicative competence in a qualitative way, since we cannot compare the academic results at the beginning and at the end of the project since they are different children since, having extended the duration of the project by one year, the children who started it They are no longer in schools. Through debates through questions, we have observed that, in general, most students say they feel more comfortable using the English language after the mobilities, since they have used it in a real context and have understood its usefulness beyond passing a school subject. We have also observed how the willingness to interact has been increasingly earlier. In the first mobilities, the students were more shy and found it difficult to start a conversation. But in later mobilities we scheduled introductory activities and many of the participants struck up a conversation on the first day of their mobility.
On the other hand, they learned to look for strategies to communicate even when they did not know exactly how to do it, looking for synonyms, asking other classmates for help, using non-verbal language. In addition, it should be noted that, although the English language was our main objective, the curiosity of the students has led them to want to know words and phrases in all the languages of the participating schools.
The improvement of digital competence has been evaluated through the use that students and teachers have made of new programs and applications such as BookCreator, padlet, genially, kahoot, stop motion, programming with Scratch, robotics with Lego, etc. We have verified that they have not only used digital media to play or search for information, which is the most common use, but also to learn, do work, share projects, acquire attitudes of safe use of the Internet, etc. Regarding the digital competence of the centers, at the end of the project we contrast the results obtained in the initial evaluation with the SELFIE tool and those obtained at the end, observing the improvement in terms of resources of the center and digital skills of teachers and students.
Our third and final objective was to improve the social and multicultural competence of our students. The participants have been able to improve their knowledge about the countries involved, including their history, traditions, culture, lifestyles, educational systems, among others, which leads them to a better cultural and social understanding of linguistic diversity and promotes attitudinal change. towards tolerance and respect for different cultures. They have also increased their European spirit by promoting knowledge and understanding of the different cultures that make up the European Union.
In addition, we have appreciated in the students the awakening of a feeling of curiosity about the participating schools, teachers and colleagues. This project offers students a great opportunity to recognize and reflect on the differences and similarities between our European colleagues, fostering a feeling of belonging to a community that goes beyond the borders of their town, city and country.
Mobilities have given students confidence, independence and responsibility. To evaluate this objective, surveys have been created that the students have carried out before and after each mobility with the SURVEY MONKEY tool. Among the answers of the students to the proposed questions we can highlight among others:
-That they have worked as a team to use new technologies.
-That the best part of mobility has been making friends.
-That they have learned cultural aspects such as food, cities, monuments, etc. of the places visited.
-That they advise other children to participate in Erasmus mobilities because you meet people, you practice English and you know places.
