    C8-ATHENS MOBILITY 8-11 June.pdf

    Description

This C8 activity was originally planned for June 2021 but had to be postponed for a full year due to sanitary restrictions and until all other project activities had been completed for evaluation.

The Andrés García Soler schools from Spain, the Beacon Church School from England, the Osnovna sola Planina pri Sevnici from Slovenia, the Istituto Comprehensive San Rocco from Italy and the 3rd Primary School from Greece, have participated in this mobility that has taken place in Athens. Initially it was planned in Grevená, Greece, but all the partners agreed to change it to Athens due to the difficulty of getting to Grevená, since most countries required two flights plus 3 hours by bus, which was not effective for mobility. so short

The participants in this activity have been:
3 teachers from Osnovna sola Planina pri Sevnici.
2 teachers from The Beacon Church School.
3 teachers from 3rd Primary School Grevená.
2 professors from the San Rocco Comprehensive Institute.
3 teachers from the Andrés García Soler school.

The workshop "Artificial intelligence and machine learning for students" was held, in which teachers from partner schools worked on concepts of artificial intelligence and learned new digital tools for application in the classroom. It was taught electronically by the Greek teacher Tehodula Liampa.
A session of robotics projects enriched with artistic activities (STEAM Projects) was also held.

The participating teachers have been able to carry out the final evaluation meeting of the project as well as discuss together the last activities that remain pending before the end of the project. The teachers have evaluated the three main objectives of our project: the improvement of the digital, linguistic and social competence of students and teachers. To this end, different tests have been carried out before and after the mobility with students, a survey on computer media has been created with the SELFIE tool, and various final reports have been prepared that show the conclusions obtained.

    Benefits

The main benefits for participants are:
    - Knowledge of new digital tools to use in the classroom.
    - Acquisition of new knowledge about programming and robotics.
    - Improvement of the Linguistic Competence in the English Language, by having to use English in real situations both of a formative nature and of daily life.
    - Participants have improved their ability to adapt to different environments and situations.
    - The participants have had the opportunity to visit some historical and cultural places, appreciate the Greek monuments and develop their social skills.
    - The participating teachers have improved their curriculum because the activity has provided them with documents that accredit their participation in European programs such as Erasmus, which may also be recognized and approved by their respective educational authorities.
