Another way of assessing the quality of a project is to submit an application for external and independent evaluation.
eTwinning quality labels (for European teachers and students)
Teachers from Europe who have participated in eTwinning projects during the scholastic year 2018 -2019 are invited to apply for the eTwinning National Quality Label.
We did and we were granted the National Quality label so far by the Portuguese National Support Service of the Ministry of Education. We are still waiting for the result in Greece and Bulgaria.
Evaluation Criteria:
• Pedagogical Innovation and Creativity – presenting significant indications that the project displays an innovative approach;
• Curricular Integration – evidence that the project is integrated into the national curriculum framework;
• Communication and exchange between partner schools – showing clearly how you organised communication and which tools were used.
• Collaboration between partner schools – highlighting aspects that clearly show that the project was planned between partner teachers; indicating role of partners in the project; and the level of collaboration achieved between students in the project;
• Creative use of ICT – indicating the tools and devices that were used to make the project creative;
• Results and Benefits – illustrating the outcomes of the project and specifying the benefits gained by participants and their respective schools.

The Asef Award
As an ASEF collaboration, we are applying to the ASEF award and we will take the invitation to submit our application.
During this conference, we will reward 6 Award Finalists selected from the pool of completed school collaborations in both 2018 and 2019. To join the selection process and to compete for the Gold & Merit Awards, we would like to invite you to submit a brief report and evaluation of your school collaboration(s). This report should highlight the achievements of your collaboration as well as provide an assessment of the process & outcomes. All reports will be carefully reviewed by the ASEF ClassNet team based on a set of criteria (e.g. intercultural understanding, knowledge sharing, use of ICT, outreach and teamwork etc etc,.). We will announce the results on the shortlisted school collaborations on our website and social media platforms in mid-October. One representative (main coordinator) of the selected school collaborations will be invited to attend the Tokyo meeting for the final pitching for the awards.
If you wish to participate in the ASEF ClassNet award process, please send us your report by Friday, 4 October 2019. Please find enclosed the relevant project report templates and kindly take note of the guidelines in the template of completion.
The ASEF ClassNet team highly appreciates your precious time, efforts and commitment to the ASEF ClassNet school collaborations. We are excited to hear about your experiences and to see the wonderful results from our Asia-Europe cooperation.
