• ### General Objective

Demonstrate that the Earth is round and calculate its circumference

### Key competences

The transdisciplinary of the project supports the development and the validation of the 8 key competences.

1-This objective mainly implements  knowledge, skills and attitudes related to  competence in mathematics, science, and  technology.

• Apply mathematical thinking (calculation and geometry) to solve a problem
• Acquire scientific knowledge and methodology (observation and experimentation) to explain natural world
• Use instruments (ruler, protractor, try square, plumb line, spirit level ) to experiment with a technological device (gnomon)  in order to acquire scientific data.

2-This project promotes a variety of learning approaches and environments, including the digital competence

• information and data literacy
• communication and collaboration
• media literacy
• digital content creation
