Future Jobs

  • Erasmus+ opens a door to a world of employment opportunities. Whether you find a job in a new country or sector, or build upon knowledge relevant to your field: Erasmus+ is proven to improve your prospects for a successful career. In fact, mobile higher education students are twice as likely to have a job one year after graduation compared to their non-mobile peers. Volunteering also boosts participants' possibilities to find a job, as 3 out of 4 employers value such experience.

Self-confidence, adaptability and stronger communication skills are only a short list of what you can gain through an Erasmus+ experience. Participants also establish professional networks. These contacts spark innovative employment ventures and entrepreneurship - from start-ups to research projects, and everything in between.

Esther Berrozpe Galindo, President of Whirlpool in Europe, Middle East and Africa says that 'Having an international experience and speaking different languages are key factors to join a big global company'. 92% of European employers agree with Esther: they value skills gained during mobility experiences and the fresh ideas that trainees have to offer.

The Erasmus+ programme goes further: it actively ensures strong cooperation between the education and training sectors and the labour market. In 2014-16 more than 2,600 projects were funded to drive positive change in education and training sectors and enhance employment prospects.

Embarking on an Erasmus+ mobility experience boosts your chances to find a future job, improves your skills in your current job, and equips you with inspiring new ideas. So what are you waiting for?
