Online Teacher Meeting 2021.01.15

  • We had an online meeting on Friday evening and we agreed on different things such as the date for our online students' meeting, the time, the topic..
Let me remind you that we decided:
    date: 25th January 2021
    time: 4 pm
topic: introduce yourself(family, pets, hobbies, subjects studied at school...), why not mentioning your school, the surroundings you are living...

We talked about this meeting to our students yesterday afternoon working online with them. Some of them have already connected to google classroom in order to be prepared for January 25th. As you know we are dealing with 34 students, all of them involved in that Erasmus project even if all of them won't be concerned by a "future, potential" mobility. All of them sent Greeting Cards and created videos for the "Relaunch project". They are working really hard and are still motivated despite the situation.

We can't change the date and the time. Our students also have exams to take around the date mentioned by Marco. Morever, we are dealing with a system implying that sometimes we are at school to teach, sometimes we work from home, which is not that easy to handle. When we are at school, we finish shool at 17h30 with a curfew at 18h00; some of our students (after 8 hours spent at school) have almost 1 hour traveling to go back home. That is why we agreed on an accurate date with a precise time. As I wrote before we are not able to change this.

I hope everybody will see things from our perspective.

24th January 2021: preparation mail to 25th on line meeting:

Our first on line meeting is tomorrow.

We have 25 students and 3 teachers (but Anne and MArco are considered as students!?) so far.

I can't see italian names: maybe it's easier as Laszlo, suggested, to send a link so they can access the Google classroom from home. If they have the link ASAP, they can try to prepare.

You tell me because I have never used a Google classroom. We use Teams (Microsoft) at school.

Here is the link, I think: Sign in - Google Accounts

With Teams, it is possible to dispatch students in small rooms. Teachers can go from 1 virtual room to another. We can also end the small rooms meetings and go back to the pleniary. I guess it is possible with that software too.

We, in France, will work from 3 different rooms equipped with computers. We also have bought some tablets for the project. They have just arrived. What are your conditions? You can buy tablets using the money you have received.

Anne told you the idea of that meeting: getting to better know each other. Talk, talk, talk...

You can use the Twinspace pages to present 2 schools: BPG and ours. I can't see videos from Italia or Romania.

BTW: Maria Pia is enrolled on the TS. Danilo needs to ask for me as a contact. Mattia, Marco, MariaChiara: no news. You need to create an account, then to search for me (for example), subscribe to my profile, ask me to be in my contact list. From that very moment, I can add you. Allright?

Then I suggest, if you agree and if it is possible, to split the group into 3 different sub-groups. Each team has at least one student from each country.

They should answer in a e-article what is their first feeling, how did they lived during the COvid time, what do they expect from that program and of course plans for the future...

Please help us to improve that.

These 3 articles will be different (I mean; they can have a drawing or be a cartoon, why not?; Lilla is quite good at!; they can write a more formal essay...), but all of will be published on the TS and we, as teachers, can organize a vote (or not) to decide if 1 (or 2, or the 3) could be printed in the school's newspaper. I guess we can print 1. And it would be a good idea to print the same article in our 4 different school newspapers. Of course, we need pictures, proofs. The others can be on our websites if any.

Tell me your ideas! Or better: and share them in the Twinspace! We can adjust tomorrow in live. OK?

Who is responsible for answering  the chat (live) tomorrow afternoon?

We know that Zsolt can't join us before 5.00 pm. Is there someone from BPG? Rita and Kinga are in that mail list but never answered. So, what is it?

I suggest that the next meeting will be held by another country. That person will decide the day and the hour. OK? So, we can change (for example, Friday is a more convenient day for Hungarian). We don't know for Italian nor Romanian.
