#Erasmusdays event, Agrupamento de Escolas de Idães,  Portugal

As part of the Erasmusdays 2019 celebrations, Idães Consortium promoted a set of activities aimed at disseminating, sharing experiences, promoting and enhancing the benefits that Europe offers through this program.

The Achieve+ project, carried out an exhibition of several works done by the students, as well as an exhibition on the prominent municipal personality Manuel de Faria e Sousa, in partnership with the Romanesque Route. In its official opening, this exhibition was attended by the Councillor for Culture and Education, Drª Ana Medeiros, and the Headmaster of the Idães Schools Consortium, Dr. Amândio Azevedo.

On October 12, a Rally Paper, starting in Largo do Bom Jesus and arriving at the Basic and Secondary School of Idães, was held to commemorate this date. During the test, participants had to answer a quiz concerning the architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the countries involved (Greece, Italy, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania and Portugal), but also to carry out numerous activities, during which participants revealed enthusiasm, good mood and team spirit.

In the context of the Erasmusdays 2019 celebrations, Idães School, beneficiary of the Erasmus + programme, will carry out activities providing visibility, sharing experiences, promoting and enhancing the benefits that Europe offers in this programme.

On October 12th, a Rally Paper will be held to commemorate International Erasmus Day. Participants will depart from Largo do Bom Jesus and arrive at the Idães Elementary and Secondary School. During the race, they will have to fill in a quiz on the architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the countries involved (Greece, Italy, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania and Portugal), but they will also carry out numerous activities, in which participants will certainly experience a spirit of partnership, enthusiasm, fun and happiness.

The slow-moving route will lead us to the Erasmus program, the Achieve + project, the Romanesque Route monuments and interesting details about this region of excellence in cultural heritage.

This activity will be collaboratively carried out by the Idães Parents Association, local representatives and it is aimed at students, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as the entire local community, hopefully taking the school outside of its walls and bringing the community in.

It will be a fantastic day for sharing and bounding for participants who will also have the chance to taste traditional snacks in the morning and a regional lunch at school where there will also be the Achieve + exhibition. There will be participation bonus for all entrants and prizes for the winning teams.

There will be an exhibition at the headquarters of Idães Schools Consortium, in order to disseminate the results and materials prepared so far in the Achieve + project and to disclose the role of prominent historical figures in our county, as is the case of Manuel Faria e Sousa. This exhibition has the collaboration of the Romanesque Route and will take place between October 10 and 15.

Get involved in this magnificent initiative!
