This is what our students (English travelers and French hosts) thought of their experience in La Reunion
Post mobility Student evaluation.docx
The visit to the market was the most beneficial to my understanding of the culture of the island
This experience has enabled me to realise how much French I understand when it is being spoken.
Amazing experience, beneficial to learning
My best experience was the Sunday which we spent with the families alone as I discovered many new things about the culture and connected very well with my family.
I am now definitely considering French as an a level
A very worthwhile cultural experience
This experience has taught me that the French language is not as hard as I thought it was.
A Whirlwind tour of Culture
My favourite experience was spending the Sunday with just the families and realising how important spending time with their families is to them at the weekend
I have met amazing new friends. I really enjoyed socialising with the Réunionnais children and living like a French boy.
I am very grateful to my teacher and the Erasmus funding for making this amazing experience possible and giving me a once in a lifetime opportunity.
An extraordinary, unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
This experience has assured me even more of my love for French
I learned many things about differents religions, sacrifices, names of gods, offerings, holidays also new English words. I heard there's a lighthouse and church in ruins in Reunion Island.
My best experience was the day at the Hindou Temple
I want to learn English and go to England to learn their traditions.
by océane
I learned a lot more about the religions that are here, even though we had already studied them in class, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge and a certain way of life, habits and the importance of difference in climate between here and England
My favorite day was Saturday, we went to the market of Saint-Pierre and when we went to eat on the beach because for me it is the day when I begin to "get closer", to know better the English
as for the English language, I was able to discover the different intonations given, the differentiation of words similar to oral but different to the written word. And what is for my future projects, English will be very useful because I would like to work abroad (a country other than France)
I learnt an incredible variety of things about the religion, food, wildlife and history of La Reunion, including what kind of fruits and spices are grown here
I’ve never seen wild coral and I have never seen such an incredible array of sea life. I saw Moorish idols, parrotfish, pipefish, angelfish, butterflyfish, triggerfish, tang, sailfin tang and I even saw a mantis shrimp, a moray eel and an octopus
Traveling to La Reunion has helped me pick up so many useful phrases and words.
An incredible and exotic experience
J'ai appris à partager
My best experience is to communicate with the English and in English
Maintenant je suis plus motivée pour apprendre l'anglais
Fantastic, cool, funny
Their way of life is different
I want to learn English more
Great, amusing and funny
I got to know and especially I got to know things that I did not know like some religion
The best is when we left for Saint André and visited temples
I would really like to do this experience again
magical beautiful excellente perfect unbelievable
I learned many things but especially that ever if we do not speak the same language and we live in very remote places our way of living is not very different
my best experience is to talk to students who speak another language
Ithik that speaking English with someone or different people made me understand that by providing the necessary effort i could turn to this country to do studies
