Sustainability
Definition:sustainability is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which has ecological, economic, political and cultural dimensions. To sustain means: to support, maintain, withstand, endure.The main idea is that human beings should act responsibly so that the resources on the planet will be able to support many generations to come. To get a deeper insight into the term, we must ask ourselves.
Can we do this for ever?
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is one of the leading organizations working to fulfil the 17 SDGs -that were agreed on by 193 world leaders- by the year 2030. The 2030 Agenda and its 17 Goals for Sustainable Development are an ambitious commitment of the world community to ensure sustained and economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection. At the heart of the Agenda are 5 critical components: People, Prosperity, Peace, Partnership & Planet.
