In the past, in the time of our grandmothers, corn husk represented a call for company during long winter nights. Husks are leaves that wrap the fruit of the plant corn. Today it is almost a forgotten raw material. This is the reason we organized a workshop on which we made decorative figurines using husks. The ably hands of our students made the workshop educational, interesting and fun.

1On October 18 th we celebrated the "International Necktie day". We learned that the Necktie is one of the most famous Croatian invention. In Turopolje the Necktie is called " Podgutnica ", as a part of an old tradional men's cloth. During Art class we combined "Podgutnica" and our castle Lukavec,to give it a new meaning.
