Dear friends, our project came to an end. Through research, travelling, fun and socializing we learned that cultural heritage is a part of all of us. We need to preserve it, cherish it and proudly pass down to the generations yet to come. As a result of our project we made a digital thematic map of our homeland, published a common traditional cookbook, dictionary, and a book of legends. We learned traditional dances, played traditional games and cooked traditional dishes. The description of our project and a part of our activities you can see below.

Two years passed wery quickly, we did a lot of work, studied and researched, we were singers, dancers, artists, builders, cameramen, photographers...

We did not went to Italy, but we have learned some of the basic phrases in Italian, we were also exploring the cultural heritage of Italy, region Toskana and the city Massa.

Month of the Croation Book is manifestation that takes place every year from 15. October till 15. November. So in 2019. students were making bookmarks with traditional Turopolje motives.

In the past, in the time of our grandmothers, corn husk represented a call for company during long winter nights. Husks are leaves that wrap the fruit of the plant corn. Today it is almost a forgotten raw material. This is the reason we organized a workshop on which we made decorative figurines using husks. The ably hands of our students made the workshop educational, interesting and fun. We are going to take the figurines with us to Macedonia, as a present to our host. 

Art is our favourite way of expressing tradicional segments of our culture.

The story about the Little guards of Turopolje, a part of Erasmus project in our school, in the Yearbook of the City of Velika Gorica. It gives us geat pride to see our work noted in the 15th issue of the Yearbook.

We learned about "Preslica" ( the distaff) that was used to make a thread for weaving.

We visited the Turopolje Museum in Velika Gorica and made traditional tree decorations.
