Activity for December on celebrating International Volunteers Day 5 December. 

Activity 1: Survey

 

Students run a questionnaire at school with the title: Do you do any volunteering? Link can be found on Twinspace.

Students analyse graphs and results of questionnaire.

Activity 2: Interviews

Students do research and interview local volunteers.

Hungary also did a Xmas fair. Members of the Blind Date minicompany organised a fair at the school. Students volunteered to make some Xmas gifts, e.g. giftcards, chocolate figures, ornaments, etc., and sold them for a little sum of money.  8-10 students prepared these products for 3 weeks and were really surprised to see how successful they were. They raised more than 170 euros! All money raised was given as a donation to a Blind Dog Training Centre. It was our first charity fair but hopefully not the last!
